Large-Format Tile
24x48, 32x32, gauged porcelain panels and beyond — installed with proper mortar coverage, leveling systems and flattened substrates to eliminate lippage.
Porcelain & Ceramic Tile
The workhorse of Chicago homes. Floors, walls, wet areas and full-height showers, set to industry tolerances with clean, consistent grout joints.
Natural Stone & Marble
Marble, travertine, limestone, slate and quartzite. Vein-matched layouts, correct setting materials for moisture-sensitive stone, sealed and detailed.
Bathroom Tile & Showers
Waterproofed shower systems, curbs, benches, niches, linear drains and full-height wall tile — built to keep water where it belongs.
Kitchen Backsplash
Subway, mosaic, slab and stacked layouts with clean terminations at cabinets, outlets, hoods and window returns.

A detailed on-site consultation and project estimate is $200. If you choose Kuzbyt Construction for your project, the full $200 is credited toward your project total.

Substrate preparation comes first
We flatten and prepare before a single tile is set — self-leveling underlayment, backer board, uncoupling membranes and waterproofing where the assembly calls for it. Skipping this step is the number one cause of cracked tile and failed grout.
Waterproofing you can rely on
Showers and wet areas are built with bonded waterproofing membranes and properly detailed corners, curbs and niches. We test where appropriate, because a shower leak is not a callback — it is a demolition.
Layout planned before the mortar
We dry-lay the field, center the pattern to the sightlines of the room, and plan cuts so the smallest pieces land where nobody looks. Grout color, joint width and edge profiles are confirmed with you in advance.
